Aoibheann Walsh - G&G
Aoibheann Walsh
Aoibheann Walsh, a native of County Donegal, began her rise to the top of the makeup artistry industry by pursuing her dream of becoming a professional artist and enrolling for a bachelor’s degree in fine art.
It was during this time she was scouted by John Compton Modelling Agency and in 2007 began working as a professional model.
Delving this far into the world of professional modelling gave her a distinct insight into the workings of high-end makeup. This inspired Aoibheann to merge her undeniable artistic flair and love of cosmetics to become a makeup artist.
Aoibheann undertook the ITEC National Diploma in Beauty Therapy, FETAC Train the Trainer, LA Creative College, Jemma Kidd School of Make-up, Illamasqua, MAC and Bobbi Brown certifications to make herself one of the most qualified and trend current industry therapists.
Aoibheann continues to upskill in the pursuit of professional development and regularly attends courses and workshops in London, Paris and Dublin.
Aoibheann’s experience of modelling, coupled with the privilege of having her makeup applied by world industry leaders on a regular basis, her impressive portfolio of awards and qualifications, topped off with her passion for fine art, brands her as a top makeup artist in the region.
G&G, a vintage-style boutique salon located in Houston House, Church Lane, Letterkenny, opened its doors in March of 2015.
Following two years working independently as a makeup artist, owner and proprietor, Aoibheann Walsh M.U.A, has evolved the G&G brand to now include makeup artistry, beauty therapy, and all aspects of hairdressing and nails.
