Celebrant Ceremonies Ireland

My name is Monica Ramsey and I am a qualified celebrant. I trained with the Irish Institute of Celebrants and I am a member of the Irish Celebrants Association.  I have extensive experience working with families and meeting with couples as a musician and singer, and becoming a celebrant was a natural progression for me.  I am married to Brian and we have two grown up children, Dylan and Michaela.

Celebrancy is an area that I have always been interested in, as I enjoy working with, and helping people through, what can be for some, a stressful and busy time in their lives.  My aim is always to take the stress out of the planning and focus on enjoying the journey.  I believe that your ceremony is not just about one day, it’s about a lifetime of days before and after.  That’s why your own personal journey is included as part of your ceremony, because that’s what has brought you to this point in your lives. Likewise, the memories of your day are special and will be something that you will look back on in the years to come.

I consider it a privilege and an honour to be invited to take part in a couple’s special day and I always ensure that the couple are at the centre of the ceremony by meeting with them and discussing their wants and needs so that the ceremony will be uniquely theirs.  I will craft your personalised ceremony to include special moments that you’ve shared on your journey and include rituals and symbolism that reflects you both as a couple. Prior to your ceremony I will consult with you both as part of the process of personalising your ceremony.  My ethos is that it is “your day”, therefore it should be done “your way”!
