Patrick Gray
Originally from Glasgow, Patrick comes from a family of hairdressers. He started out at the tender age of 10 helping out in his father’s salon. It’s in his blood! He’s grown up with it and having been in the industry for over 40 years he is passionate about his profession. Having started his career in Glasgow he decided to move to Ireland in the 80’s. In 1982 he opened his first salon in Gweedore Co. Donegal, his mother’s townland.
As a talented and incredibly passionate young hairdresser it didn’t take him long to build up a solid clientele. He then moved to Letterkenny in 1986 and opened ‘Patrick Gray Hairdressing’. Despite building a successful and thriving business Patrick was eager to broaden his knowledge and decided in 1998 that it was time to further advance his artistic skills.
Over the next number of years he worked in London and New York with some amazingly talented people in two of the world’s leading cities of fashion before finally settling in the fashionable town of Marbella in the south of Spain. Fast forward to 2007 and Patrick decided it was time to return to his beloved Donegal.
When Pello was established in October of that year Patrick had no doubt that he wanted to adopt a holistic approach to hairdressing and in doing so introduced a totally new concept to hairdressing in Letterkenny. Patrick has always considered himself truly fortunate to not only get the opportunity to do something he loves everyday but to have had the opportunity with the support of his loyal clientele to develop his creativity and artistic skills.
Amongst other achievements down through the year Patrick was honoured to work alongside the best as part of global Aveda team for London Fashion Week 2 years in a row 2018, 2019.
He loves hairdressing. It’s his life! Simple as that.
Tina
Tina comes from the Gaeltacht area of Gweedore and with a degree in languages started her career in teaching. However when Pello opened Tina decided to expand her horizons and change her career. Since then she has been managing the salon and greeting all her guests with a welcoming smile for the last 10 years. Tina loves the challenges that each day brings and is incredibly passionate about Aveda, the salon, her guests and her staff.
