Wedding Showcase a huge success!
Save the Date Weddings have had a busy time of late and decided to launch their new Autumn edition magazine and also their brand new website at the Shandon Hotel Wedding Showcase to ‘Win A Dream Wedding’ Competition on Sunday 26th September.
The event was a huge success as entrants who made it through to stage 2 of the ‘Win A Dream Wedding’ competition worth €16,000 were invited along to attend the event.
Carolynne Harrison, General Manager of the Shandon and main sponsor of the prize welcomed the excited couples to the Shandon Hotel with a drinks/canapes reception with music played by the fantastic Keli McGrory, then Carolynne continued to thank all the wedding suppliers who have very generously sponsored prizes or vouchers toward the huge prize on offer who were also present to chat all the entrants about the many packages and products they have available to enhance your wedding day.
Carolynne then commented on how great of an opportunity it was for the Shandon to be part of the launch and competition set up by savethedateweddings.ie and then introduced Lisa Murray from Save The Date Weddings who spoke about the excitement that is in the air around the newly launched wedding directory and blog, the first in the North West for all aspiring brides and grooms to be can connect with the very best the North West has to offer in both suppliers and venues indeed anything wedding related. The site which is in its infancy has created much attention since its launch which was a fabulous event, with Lmd Models showcasing the fantastic collection of dresses available from Ultimate Dresses
Couples were then talked through the next stage of the competition which requires them to create a 30 second video relating to how they met and why they want to get married at the Shandon Hotel. The video itself does not have to include the future bride and groom, but it must be from their point of view and must be submitted by 25th November.
Savethedateweddings.ie and The Shandon Hotel will then share the videos on their socials if the couple have made it through to the final.
So, it really is an exciting fun way to compete for the amazing prize on offer. Lisa Murray of Savethedateweddings.ie, said: “We feel this is something else for the couples to experience on their journey down the aisle that is fun and will create some new special moments for all involved and for us watching on social media it will be fun and uplifting, wedding planning can be stressful so we wanted to come up with something fun.”
Carolynne continued: “All this will lead up to the Grand Final which will take place on Sunday 9th January at the Shandon Hotel, so we want to wish all our couples the very best of luck and we look forward to seeing them then”.
